My name is Devon Mayer and I am a professional animal trainer, having worked for the film industry for 20 years. I now use these skills to train privately owned dogs through my company Alpha Dog Training.

I grew up on horse farms, surrounded by animals and started training my own from an early age. The majority of my career has been training all types of animals for film, television, and print. I have had the opportunity to travel the world with these animals and have mastered my craft working with directors, film crews, celebrities and other experienced animal trainers.

The connection I have experienced has inspired me to help other people understand how to have meaningful relationships with their own dogs. To create a bond and relationship with your dog that is stress-free and fulfilling is an amazing feeling! My goals are to teach people how to interact with their dogs in a way that helps the dog understand what is expected from them and that they feel safe and secure in their daily lives. I work with my clients to determine the goals and outcomes they are looking for, and then utilize the most effective methods to help them achieve those goals.
